Doha Hamad lounges DOH: every lounge and how to get in
Hamad runs some of the best airline lounges on the planet and keeps the doors open all night. The catch arrived in May 2026, when Priority Pass left the airport entirely. Here is every lounge and the realistic ways in.
Lounge verdict Brilliant at the top, thin in the middle. Al Safwa First and the two Al Mourjan Business lounges are world class and run 24 hours, but without a premium ticket or oneworld status you are down to the pay per use Al Maha rooms.
Best access play About 450 riyals buys Al Mourjan on a Qatar Airways economy ticket through Manage My Booking when capacity allows. Otherwise the Al Maha lounges sell walk in entry and take DragonPass and LoungeKey.
The one thing to know The three Al Maha lounges left Priority Pass on 15 May 2026, and as of this review no lounge at Hamad accepts the card. Check what your membership still covers before you fly.

Al Safwa and Al Mourjan, the headline lounges
Hamad is one terminal with concourses A to E, all airside, so every lounge is reachable on foot or by the short train between nodes. Qatar Airways owns the top of the market with three flagship rooms, all open around the clock.
Al Safwa First is the marble flagship, a vast quiet hall on the south side with private rooms and a spa, for Qatar Airways first class passengers. Business class travelers can occasionally buy their way in for about 600 riyals when capacity allows. Al Mourjan comes in two flavors: the original South lounge above the Duty Free Plaza, a 10,000 square meter hall built for around a thousand people, and the newer Garden lounge in the northern expansion near the Orchard, the calmer pick when both are open to you.
Both Al Mourjan lounges follow the same rules: business class on Qatar Airways with an Elite, Comfort or Classic fare, business class on oneworld operated flights, and oneworld Emerald and Sapphire status. Economy passengers on Qatar Airways can sometimes buy entry for about 450 riyals through Manage My Booking, subject to availability.
| Lounge | Location | Hours | Access | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Al Safwa First Lounge | Main terminal south, near the Duty Free Plaza | 24 hours | Qatar Airways first class; business class passengers can sometimes buy entry for about 600 riyals | One of the quietest first class lounges anywhere. If you can get in, go. |
| Al Mourjan Business South | Level 1, Duty Free Plaza South, Concourse A | 24 hours | Business class on Qatar Airways, oneworld and codeshare flights; oneworld Emerald and Sapphire; economy buy in about 450 riyals | Enormous and impressive, but busy at the overnight banks. |
| Al Mourjan Business The Garden | Northern expansion, one level above the concourse near the C, D and E gates | 24 hours | Same rules as the South lounge, including the 450 riyal economy buy in | Newer, greener, and usually calmer. Worth the walk from the A and B gates. |

Status and crew
Privilege Club status lounges and the Mariner Lounge
Below the flagships, Qatar Airways runs lounges keyed to Privilege Club status rather than cabin. They keep Platinum, Gold and Silver members out of the Al Mourjan queues, and Silver members get a door of their own, which few airlines bother with.
The South lounges cluster near the original heart of the terminal and the combined Platinum and Gold lounge serves the northern expansion. Hamad also lists the Mariner Lounge, reserved for seafarers transiting Doha on marine fares. The Muzn sensory room and the unaccompanied minors lounge are facilities rather than lounges you choose, so they stay out of the table.
| Lounge | Location | Hours | Access | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Platinum Lounge South | South side of the terminal | To be confirmed | Privilege Club Platinum, per Qatar Airways terms | The quietest of the status rooms, by member numbers alone. |
| Gold Lounge South | South side of the terminal | To be confirmed | Privilege Club Gold, per Qatar Airways terms | Solid, and emptier than Al Mourjan at peak. |
| Silver Lounge South | South side of the terminal | To be confirmed | Privilege Club Silver, per Qatar Airways terms | A rare thing: a dedicated lounge for mid tier status. |
| Platinum and Gold Lounge North | Northern expansion | To be confirmed | Privilege Club Platinum and Gold, per Qatar Airways terms | The status play if your gate is C, D or E. |
| Mariner Lounge | To be confirmed | To be confirmed | Seafarers traveling on marine fares | Crew only, but reportedly better than many public lounges. |
Hours last reviewed 16 May 2026. Qatar Airways does not publish opening hours for the status lounges; assume they track the departure banks and confirm with staff.
Pay per use
Al Maha lounges, the doors that sell entry
Without a premium ticket or status, the Al Maha lounges are the realistic option. Formerly branded Oryx, they sell entry at reception, take advance bookings online, and admit first and business class passengers of airlines without their own Doha lounge.
The big change is what they no longer take. All three departure side Al Maha lounges left the Priority Pass program on 15 May 2026, removing the card from the airport entirely. The airport's own lounge pages still list DragonPass, LoungeKey, Mastercard Travel Pass and Visa Airport Companion, so a different card in your wallet may still open these doors; verify in the program's app first. Expect deli style food, showers, wifi and smoking rooms rather than the Al Mourjan spectacle.
| Lounge | Location | Hours | Access | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Al Maha Lounge North | Level 1, Central Zone North Node, Concourse C | 24 hours | Walk in paid entry, online booking, DragonPass, LoungeKey, Mastercard Travel Pass, Visa Airport Companion; first and business class on other airlines | The pay per use pick for the C, D and E gates. Showers and quiet corners. |
| Al Maha Lounge South | Duty Free Plaza, South Node | 24 hours | Same entry routes as the North lounge | Most convenient for the A and B gates. Fine, not fancy. |
| Al Maha Departure Lounge | To be confirmed | To be confirmed | Walk in paid entry and bookings through Al Maha Services | The third departure side room; details are thinly published. |
| Al Maha Arrival Lounges | One before and one after immigration, arrivals level | To be confirmed | Booked with Al Maha meet and assist services | Useful for a shower after a long inbound. |
| First and Business Class Arrival Lounges | Before and after immigration, arrivals level | To be confirmed | Arriving premium passengers, per Qatar Airways terms | A landing perk, not a layover tool. |
Hours last reviewed 16 May 2026. Walk in prices at the Al Maha lounges are set by Al Maha Services and were not published at review time; treat the figure quoted at reception as current.

Which doors open for you at DOH
Work down this list and stop at the first line that matches you. That is your lounge.
A premium cabin or oneworld status. Business class on Qatar Airways or any oneworld operated flight opens both Al Mourjan lounges, as does oneworld Emerald or Sapphire status in any cabin. First class on Qatar Airways opens Al Safwa. The whole top tier runs 24 hours.
Privilege Club status. Platinum, Gold and Silver members have dedicated lounges on the south side, plus a combined Platinum and Gold room in the northern expansion. They are usually quieter than the lounge your cabin would put you in.
Cash on a Qatar Airways ticket. Economy passengers can buy Al Mourjan entry for about 450 riyals through Manage My Booking, and business class passengers can sometimes buy Al Safwa for about 600 riyals. Both are capacity controlled, so the option appears and disappears by flight.
A lounge program that is not Priority Pass. The Al Maha lounges list DragonPass, LoungeKey, Mastercard Travel Pass and Visa Airport Companion as accepted entry routes. Many bank cards bundle one of these; check before paying at the door.
Priority Pass. No longer works at Hamad. The three Al Maha lounges left the program on 15 May 2026, and no replacement lounge has joined. Memberships that include experiences may still cover the Sleepover sleep pods. The full story is on our Priority Pass at Doha Hamad (DOH) guide.
Cash at the door. No ticket perk, no card program: the Al Maha lounges sell walk in entry at reception, subject to capacity. If the quote feels steep for your layover, the free quiet rooms and the airside Oryx Airport Hotel are honest alternatives.

FAQ
Doha Hamad lounge questions
Does Priority Pass work at Doha Hamad?
No. The three Al Maha lounges left the Priority Pass program on 15 May 2026, and as of June 2026 no lounge at Hamad accepts the card. Memberships that include experiences may still cover the Sleepover sleep pods; confirm with your issuer before relying on it.
Can I pay to enter a lounge at DOH without status?
Yes, two ways. Qatar Airways passengers can buy Al Mourjan entry for about 450 riyals through Manage My Booking, and business class passengers can sometimes buy Al Safwa for about 600 riyals. Anyone can buy walk in entry at the Al Maha lounges, subject to capacity.
Which lounges at Doha Hamad are open 24 hours?
The ones that matter. Al Safwa First and both Al Mourjan Business lounges run around the clock, and the Al Maha lounges at the North Node and the South Duty Free Plaza sell entry 24 hours as well. Hamad schedules departures through the night, so the lounges follow.
Where is the Al Mourjan Garden lounge?
In the northern expansion of the terminal, one level above the concourse near the C, D and E gates and the Orchard garden. From the A and B gates it is roughly 10 to 15 minutes on foot, or a short hop on the train between concourse nodes.
Does DragonPass or LoungeKey work at Doha Hamad?
Yes. The airport's own Al Maha lounge pages list DragonPass, LoungeKey, Mastercard Travel Pass and Visa Airport Companion as accepted entry programs. Check your program's app for current terms before walking over, since these lists change without notice.
What is the Mariner Lounge at DOH?
A lounge reserved for seafarers transiting Doha on marine fares, a quirk of Qatar's large ship crew traffic. If you are not traveling on a marine ticket it is not an option, whatever your status.
