Athens International Lounges (ATH): Every Lounge and How to Get In

Athens has nine lounges in one terminal complex: four on the non Schengen side, four on the Schengen side, and one out at the Satellite Terminal. Five of them take Priority Pass and two never close. Here is the full map.

Lounge verdict
Solid. Nine lounges, five open to Priority Pass, and two Goldair rooms that run 24 hours a day. Every airside zone has at least one door you can pay or card your way through, which few airports this size manage.
Best access play
Priority Pass covers five doors: Goldair Handling in Hall A, Hall B and the Satellite Terminal, plus the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis lounge in Hall A and the Skyserv Melina Mercouri lounge in Hall B. That is every zone of the airport covered.
The one thing to know
Passport control splits the airside map. Hall B serves Schengen flights, Hall A serves non Schengen, and you cannot wander between them, so pick the lounge on your side of the border before you commit to security.

How the Athens lounge map works

Athens International runs one main terminal split into two airside zones at departures level. Hall B handles Schengen flights, the bulk of the European network. Hall A sits beyond passport control and handles non Schengen departures: the Gulf, North America, the UK, Asia. A Satellite Terminal about a 13 minute walk from the main building takes overflow flights from both zones, and its single lounge sits before passport control, so it works for everyone.

Hours below were checked against the official aia.gr lounge listing on 2 June 2026. The headline change this year: both main terminal Goldair lounges moved to a 24 hour schedule in late March 2026, giving Athens genuine overnight lounge cover for the first time. One more thing for non Schengen travellers. The EU Entry/Exit System went fully live at ATH on 30 March 2026, and the airport itself warns that passport control can crawl, advising arrival 2.5 hours before departure. Budget that before you bank on lounge time in Hall A.

Hall A is where Athens shows off. The Aegean Business Lounge on the 3rd floor is the single best room at the airport, a 1,200 square metre spread with a media wall, partitioned recliners by the windows and proper hot Greek food, but it is a status door: Aegean business, Miles+Bonus Gold or Star Alliance Gold, nothing else. Without status, go to Goldair. It never closes, it added a rotating menu of five hot Greek dishes daily in mid 2025, and it sells entry. Skyserv Aristotle Onassis is fine but shuts at 20:00, which rules it out for the late Gulf and Asia bank. That is exactly when the 24 hour Goldair earns its keep.

The Schengen side stacks all four lounges within three gates of each other, B11 to B13, so a full lounge costs you a two minute walk, not a terminal hike. Goldair CIP is the one to know: 24 hours, Priority Pass, and the only Schengen door that works for a 03:00 island hop departure apart from Aegean's 04:00 opening. The Sky Express trick at Melina Mercouri deserves a mention too: the airline sells lounge entry as a paid add on regardless of fare class, one of the cheapest guaranteed routes in if you are flying them anyway. Lufthansa's room is the weakest of the four and the first to close.

Goldair Handling x AIA LoungeLevel 2, after security and before passport control, near gate C3406:00 to 22:00Priority Pass, DragonPass, LoungeKey, Amex Platinum, Diners Club, SkyTeam Elite Plus and Delta premium cabins, Goldair packages, paid entryServes both Schengen and non Schengen flights; 3 hour stay cap, buffet expanded in 2024

The Satellite Terminal handles overflow flights from both zones, and its one lounge is placed cleverly: after security but before passport control, so Schengen and non Schengen passengers both qualify. The walk from the main terminal runs about 13 minutes. If your flight boards from a C gate, do not camp in a main terminal lounge and sprint; clear across early and use this one. The buffet was rebuilt and expanded in 2024 and holds its own against the main terminal Goldair rooms, with the same Greek leaning spread.

What actually opens these doors

Priority Pass is the widest key in Athens: all three Goldair Handling lounges plus both Skyserv lounges, five doors covering Hall A, Hall B and the Satellite Terminal. Entry is subject to space, and the stay caps are real: 4 hours at the Skyserv rooms, 3 hours at the Satellite lounge. For the full playbook, see the ATH Priority Pass guide.

DragonPass and LoungeKey mirror the same five lounges, so a Mastercard with LoungeKey or a bank issued DragonPass buys identical coverage.

American Express has no Centurion lounge at ATH, but Platinum cardholders get the same five Goldair and Skyserv doors through the card's lounge programme. Diners Club covers them too, with a 29 euro fee per guest at the Hall A Goldair.

Paying at the door works at the Goldair, Skyserv and Swissport lounges. Third party pass sellers list Goldair entry from 37 euros and Skyserv from 48 euros for a 3 hour stay; walk up rates at the desk are to be confirmed. The Aegean and Lufthansa lounges do not sell entry at any price.

Class of travel and status covers the rest. The two Aegean lounges take Aegean business class, Miles+Bonus Gold and Star Alliance Gold. Lufthansa's room takes group premium cabins, Senator, HON Circle and Star Alliance Gold. The handler lounges each carry a roster of airline contracts: Qatar Airways and Royal Jordanian at Swissport, Air France, KLM and ITA at Goldair Hall B, Turkish Airlines and Egyptair at Skyserv Hall A. Contracts shift, so confirm the door you are counting on the day you fly.

FAQ

Athens lounge questions

Which Athens airport lounges take Priority Pass?

Five: the Goldair Handling lounges in Hall A, Hall B and the Satellite Terminal, plus the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis lounge in Hall A and the Skyserv Melina Mercouri lounge in Hall B. Entry is subject to space, and stay limits of 3 to 4 hours apply.

Is there a 24 hour lounge at Athens airport?

Yes, two. The Goldair Handling lounges in both Hall A and Hall B run around the clock, a schedule in place since late March 2026. Every other lounge at ATH closes overnight, so Goldair is the only option for departures in the small hours.

Can I pay for a lounge at Athens airport without flying business class?

Yes. The Goldair, Skyserv and Swissport lounges sell entry, and third party pass sellers list Goldair from about 37 euros and Skyserv from about 48 euros for a 3 hour stay. The Aegean and Lufthansa lounges do not sell entry to walk up passengers.

Which lounge is best at Athens airport?

The Aegean Business Lounge on the non Schengen side, a 1,200 square metre space opened in 2022, if your ticket or Star Alliance Gold status opens it. Without status, the 24 hour Goldair lounge in your departure hall is the practical pick.

Is there an Amex Centurion lounge at Athens airport?

No. American Express Platinum cardholders instead get the three Goldair Handling lounges and both Skyserv lounges through the card's lounge programme, which covers every zone of the airport.

Can I use a lounge at the Athens airport Satellite Terminal?

Yes. The Goldair Handling x AIA Lounge sits on level 2 of the Satellite Terminal, after security but before passport control, so both Schengen and non Schengen passengers can use it. It opens 06:00 to 22:00 with a 3 hour stay limit.
