Phoenix Sky Harbor Lounges (PHX): Every Lounge and How to Get In

Sky Harbor runs nine lounges across its two terminals, and you can buy or program your way into most of them. Here is the full map, terminal by terminal.

Lounge verdict
Solid for a domestic hub. Terminal 4 packs in six lounges including three Admirals Clubs, a Centurion Lounge and the Chase Sapphire Lounge, and Terminal 3 fits three more into one compact building. Almost every gate band has a door within a short walk.
Best access play
Priority Pass opens the Escape Lounge in Terminal 3 with no fuss, and the Chase Sapphire Lounge in Terminal 4 once per calendar year. Both Escape Lounges sell entry from around 45 dollars prebooked, so a lounge seat at PHX never requires status.
The one thing to know
Terminals 3 and 4 connect landside only, by the free PHX Sky Train, and every terminal change means a fresh security screening. Pick the lounge in the terminal you fly from, not the nicer one a train ride and a checkpoint away.

How the Sky Harbor lounge map works

Phoenix works on a simple split. Terminal 4 is the big building and American's fortress: the A gates carry most American departures with two Admirals Clubs between them, the B gates add a third club plus the Centurion Lounge and an Escape Lounge within a hundred meters of each other, and the D gates at the south end hold the Chase Sapphire Lounge. Terminal 3 collects Delta, United and most of the remaining carriers, with a lounge for each plus the only full Priority Pass door at the airport. Terminal 2 closed in 2020 and has since been torn down, so ignore any guide that still mentions it.

Hours below come from the airport's own lounge listing, checked on 31 May 2026. Nothing here runs around the clock. The Sapphire Lounge opens earliest at 04:30 for the first departure bank, the Delta Sky Club holds out longest at 00:30, and between those marks every door at Sky Harbor is shut. Airlines also trim club hours with the seasonal schedule, so treat the Admirals Club times as a guide and check aa.com on the day you fly.

Terminal 4 rewards knowing your gate before you commit. American flyers rarely need to think: there is an Admirals Club over every concourse they use, and the A7 club is the pick when all three are options. The interesting corner is the B gates, where the Centurion Lounge and the Escape Lounge sit almost opposite each other. Amex Platinum opens both, and when the Centurion queue stretches past the front desk, the Escape next door is the smarter twenty minutes. The Sapphire Lounge anchors the far south end near D11, a real walk from the A gates, so save it for days you actually depart from the D concourse.

Terminal 3 is the easy building. All three lounges sit within a few minutes of each other on the upper level, so a plan B is never far when the Escape Lounge waitlists at breakfast. Delta and United flyers get proper club coverage here, and everyone else gets the one Priority Pass door at the airport in a spot that works for both the E and F gates. If your itinerary gives you a choice of terminal for a long Phoenix layover without elite status, choose this one.

Access decoder

What actually opens these doors

Priority Pass opens one full time door at Sky Harbor: the Escape Lounge in Terminal 3. The Chase Sapphire Lounge in Terminal 4 also admits Priority Pass members, but only once per calendar year, with guests and repeat visits at 75 dollars. The Escape Lounge in Terminal 4 does not take the pass at all, a trap for American flyers who assume the two Escape locations work the same way. For the full strategy, see the PHX Priority Pass guide.

American Express is the strongest single card here. Platinum and Centurion cardholders get the Centurion Lounge across from B21, complimentary entry at both Escape Lounges with a same day boarding pass, and Delta Sky Club access when flying Delta, though Sky Club visits are now capped for most Platinum cardholders. Check your card's current terms before counting on the Delta door.

Chase built its Sapphire Lounge for Sapphire Reserve and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardholders, who enter without limit and can reserve a visit in the Chase app between 14 days and 24 hours ahead. That reservation system is worth using: the room is small and the airport is busy from the first bank of departures.

Paying at the door works at more lounges than most people expect. Both Escape Lounges sell entry, cheapest prebooked online at around 45 dollars with walk up rates higher, current prices to be confirmed. American sells Admirals Club day passes for 79 dollars, United sells one time passes for 59 dollars to same day United and Star Alliance flyers, and the Sapphire Lounge has sold walk up passes around 100 dollars when capacity allows, though never reliably.

Status and cabin cover the rest. PHX is an American hub, so oneworld Emerald and Sapphire status opens all three Admirals Clubs, and premium cabins on AA do the same. Delta and United keys work only in Terminal 3, on the other side of a security checkpoint and a train ride from the American operation.

Programs change their rules and lounges change their hours. Treat the tables above as the map, and confirm the one door you are counting on the day you fly.

FAQ

Sky Harbor lounge questions

Which PHX lounges take Priority Pass?

The Escape Lounge in Terminal 3 is the full access door, sitting on Level 4 where the E and F gates meet. The Chase Sapphire Lounge in Terminal 4 also admits Priority Pass members, but only once per calendar year. The Escape Lounge in Terminal 4 is not in the network.

Can I pay to get into a lounge at PHX without status?

Yes. Both Escape Lounges sell entry, from around 45 dollars when prebooked online, and American sells Admirals Club day passes for 79 dollars. The Sapphire Lounge has sold walk up passes around 100 dollars when it has space, though availability is never guaranteed.

What is the best lounge at Phoenix Sky Harbor?

The Chase Sapphire Lounge near gate D11 is the most polished room at the airport, with an indoor patio and strong food. With an Amex Platinum card, the Centurion Lounge across from gate B21 runs it close. Without either card, the Escape Lounge in Terminal 3 is the easiest quality entry.

Is there a Centurion Lounge at PHX?

Yes, in Terminal 4 on the upper level across from gate B21, for Amex Platinum and Centurion cardholders within 3 hours of departure. The airport currently lists hours of 07:00 to 20:00 while other sources report earlier openings, so check the Amex app before planning breakfast there.

Which PHX terminal has more lounges?

Terminal 4 has six: three Admirals Clubs, the Centurion Lounge, an Escape Lounge and the Chase Sapphire Lounge, plus a pre security USO. Terminal 3 has three: the Delta Sky Club, the United Club and the Escape Lounge that takes Priority Pass.

Are any PHX lounges open overnight?

No lounge at Sky Harbor runs 24 hours. The Delta Sky Club keeps the longest day, 04:45 until 00:30, and the Sapphire Lounge opens at 04:30 for the first departure bank. Between roughly 00:30 and 04:30 every lounge door at the airport is shut.
