Lahore Allama Iqbal Lounges LHE: every lounge and how to get in

Lahore's lounges split across the international and domestic wings, which do not connect airside, so the right room is the one in the wing you fly from. Two CIP lounges take Priority Pass and sell entry at the door; the rest are airline rooms.

Lounge verdict
Workable rather than wide. There are four lounges open to travelers: a CIP and a PIA Business Plus in the international wing, and the same pair in the domestic wing. The international CIP is the standout because it runs 24 hours, which matters when Lahore's long haul banks leave overnight. No Amex Centurion, no independent network beyond CIP.
Best access play
Priority Pass opens both CIP lounges, in the international wing upstairs after immigration and in the domestic wing near Gates 11 and 12, from 3 hours before departure. Without a card, the CIP lounges sell walk up entry, from about 37 US dollars in the international wing and about 19 in the domestic wing.
The one thing to know
The two wings are sealed off from each other airside, so a lounge is only reachable from inside its own wing. If your connection switches from international to domestic, you enter Pakistan between the two, which needs a visa or approved authorization. Verify before travel.

The wing decides everything at LHE. The international and domestic sides of the Allama Iqbal Terminal have separate security and separate gates, and they do not connect once you are airside, so you can only use a lounge in the wing you depart from. Plan around your departure gate, not the room a border crossing away.

Two operators run the doors that matter. CIP, the independent lounge brand, holds one room in each wing and takes Priority Pass, LoungeKey, business class on most carriers, and cash or card at the door. PIA runs its Business Plus lounges in each wing for its own premium passengers. A separate State Lounge serves government officials and protocol guests and is closed to ordinary travelers. Hours and walk up prices move, and published figures for the door price vary widely, so treat the numbers below as verify at booking.

Two things to take from the table. First, the international CIP lounge is the only door at LHE that stays open around the clock, so it is the one to count on for a connection that lands in the small hours. Second, the at the door price is the least settled figure here: published walk up rates range from the high 30s in US dollars to a cash rate quoted around 15,000 Pakistani rupees, so confirm the current price at the desk rather than trusting one number.

What actually opens these doors

Priority Pass covers both CIP lounges, the one in the international wing upstairs after immigration and the one in the domestic wing near Gates 11 and 12. Cardholders are admitted from 3 hours before scheduled departure. It does not cover the PIA Business Plus rooms or the State Lounge.

Paying at the door works at both CIP lounges, from about 37 US dollars in the international wing and about 19 in the domestic wing, though the cash rate at the desk can run higher and should be confirmed. LoungeKey and business class on most carriers also open these rooms.

Airline status and class of travel cover the PIA Business Plus lounges, which serve PIA First and Business passengers and eligible partner premium travelers rather than walk ups. The State Lounge is a protocol facility for government officials and is not something a traveler can buy into.

Because the two wings do not connect, the single most useful rule is to choose the lounge in your departure wing. If your itinerary switches from the international wing to the domestic wing, remember you enter Pakistan in between, so your lounge plan resets along with your immigration status. Confirm the door and hours on the day, since the schedule shifts the rooms' opening times.

FAQ

Lahore lounge questions

Which LHE lounges take Priority Pass?

The CIP Lounge in the international wing, upstairs after immigration control, and the CIP Lounge in the domestic wing near Gates 11 and 12. Both admit Priority Pass cardholders from 3 hours before scheduled departure. The PIA Business Plus lounges and the State Lounge do not take Priority Pass.

Can I pay to get into a Lahore lounge without status?

Yes, at both CIP lounges. Walk up entry runs from about 37 US dollars in the international wing and about 19 in the domestic wing, though the cash rate quoted at the desk can be higher. Treat the price as verify at booking. The PIA Business Plus rooms are for airline premium passengers, not walk ups.

Is there a 24 hour lounge at Lahore airport?

Yes. The CIP Lounge in the international wing, upstairs after immigration, runs 24 hours, which is the reason it carries an overnight layover at LHE. Lahore's long haul departures cluster between midnight and 6am, so a lounge that never closes is more useful here than at most airports.

How many lounges does Lahore airport have?

Four are open to travelers: a CIP and a PIA Business Plus lounge in the international wing, and the same pair in the domestic wing. A separate State Lounge serves government officials and protocol guests and is not available to the public.

Do the Lahore lounges have showers?

Shower availability at LHE is not consistently documented across the lounges, so treat it as to be confirmed at the desk. The CIP and PIA Business Plus rooms offer seating, food and power; if a shower is essential, ask before you pay, or plan around the Royal Swiss hotel near the terminal instead.

Is there a lounge before security at Lahore airport?

The lounges that travelers can use sit airside, past immigration and security in each wing, not in the landside check in hall. Food and seating landside are limited to a restaurant and a few counters, so plan to clear security before you settle in for a wait.
