Zurich Airport Lounges (ZRH): Every Lounge and How to Get In

Zurich sorts its lounges by passport zone, not by terminal number. Fourteen lounges spread across the Airside Center and the A, D and E gate areas, and four of them open with Priority Pass or a paid ticket. Here is the full map.

Lounge verdict
Strong for an airport this compact. Nine SWISS lounges cover every status tier and both passport zones, and the four independent doors mean nobody with a Priority Pass or a credit card is locked out.
Best access play
Priority Pass opens four doors split evenly across the zones: Aspire and Marhaba in the Airside Center for Schengen departures, Aspire above gate E52 and Primeclass at the E gates for non Schengen flights.
The one thing to know
Your passport zone decides your lounge. The Airside Center cluster serves Schengen departures only, and once you ride the Skymetro to the E gates or pass into the D level you are committed to the non Schengen side.

How the Zurich lounge map works

Zurich works as a single terminal with three airside zones. Clear security and you land in the Airside Center, the shopping and services hub on the Schengen side, with the A gates a short walk away. The E gates sit in a separate midfield building reached by the Skymetro underground train and handle the long haul, non Schengen traffic. The middle dock plays both roles: the same pier issues B gate numbers for Schengen flights and D gate numbers for non Schengen departures, with the D level tucked behind passport control. That is why the two SWISS lounges at Gates D exist at all; they serve transfer passengers who stay on the non Schengen side without riding out to E.

Hours below were checked on 31 May 2026. The earliest doors are the Aspire and Marhaba lounges in the Airside Center at 05:15, and the last to close is the Primeclass Lounge at the E gates at 22:30. Zurich has no 24 hour lounge because the airport itself goes quiet overnight under the night flight rules. SWISS publishes no hours for a few of its rooms, so where the operator does not state a time we have marked it to be confirmed rather than guessing.

The Airside Center cluster is the Schengen toolkit. Aspire and Marhaba sit within a couple of minutes of each other, so when one is full the plan B is a staircase away, and both admit any passenger who pays or carries a lounge program card. The SWISS rooms here are the airline's main bank for European departures, and the Alpine Lounge is the curiosity of the set: a lodge themed room that closes at 18:00, so treat it as a daytime option only.

Gates D

LoungeLocationHoursAccessVerdict
SWISS Business Lounge DGates D, non Schengen transfer level05:30 to 22:00SWISS and Star Alliance business classQuiet and work focused; built for connections that stay non Schengen
SWISS Senator Lounge DGates D, non Schengen transfer level05:30 to 22:00Star Alliance Gold and SWISS top tier membersA generous buffet and a taxiway view; the better of the two D doors

The D level is transfer territory. Both lounges exist for passengers connecting between non Schengen flights who board at the D gates rather than out at E. There is no independent door here at all, so a Priority Pass holder connecting through D has nothing on this pier. The fix is simple: ride the Skymetro to the E gates, where Aspire and Primeclass both sit inside the same non Schengen zone, and come back for boarding with time to spare.

Emirates LoungeGates ETo be confirmed, tied to Emirates departuresEmirates first and business class; Skywards Gold for the business center and showersA polished single airline room; irrelevant unless you are on the Dubai flight

E is where Zurich keeps its trophies. The SWISS First Lounge E is one of the most complete first class lounges in Europe, and the Senator Lounge E underneath the same roof gives Star Alliance Gold members a whisky bar and an open air terrace that most airports reserve for first class. For everyone else, the choice is Aspire Midfield against Primeclass: Aspire wins on the view, Primeclass wins on hours and showers between the two paid doors. On a long evening connection Primeclass is the only lounge in the building still open after 22:00.

Access decoder

What actually opens these doors

Priority Pass covers four lounges at Zurich, two per passport zone: Aspire and Marhaba in the Airside Center on the Schengen side, and Aspire Midfield plus Primeclass at the E gates for non Schengen departures. Entry is always subject to space, and Aspire asks even card holders to reserve a slot because each lounge runs a capacity cap. The full playbook is in the ZRH Priority Pass guide.

DragonPass and DreamFolks are accepted at the Aspire doors according to the operator, alongside other bank card schemes. Carry the card and your booking confirmation; Aspire turns away anyone who cannot present both.

Paying at the door works at the same four independents. Both Aspire lounges sell entry online to any passenger with a boarding pass, and Marhaba and Primeclass welcome all travellers regardless of airline or cabin. Prices vary by operator and date, and prebooking is the only way to guarantee a seat at peak times.

Class of travel and status runs the SWISS estate, which is most of the airport. Business class on SWISS or a Star Alliance carrier opens the Business lounges, Star Alliance Gold opens the Senator lounges, and SWISS First or HON Circle membership opens the two First lounges. The Emirates Lounge at the E gates admits that airline's premium passengers, with the business center and showers extended to Skywards Gold members.

Arrivals get one option: the SWISS Arrival Lounge landside at Check in 2, open 06:00 to 13:00 for eligible SWISS premium and status passengers flying into Zurich. No paid arrivals lounge exists, so everyone else heads for the train.

Program rules shift and operators update their terms without much notice. Treat the tables above as the map, and confirm the door you are counting on the day you fly.
