Lounge directory
St Louis Lambert lounges STL: every lounge and how to get in
STL runs exactly three lounges across two terminals that do not connect airside, so your real choice usually comes down to one room or none. Here is the complete list, who gets through each door, and what to do when none of them open for you.
Lounge verdict Thin but honest. Three lounges total: Wingtips in Terminal 2, the Admirals Club in Terminal 1, and a USO for military travelers. Most passengers have one realistic option at most, decided entirely by which terminal they fly from.
Best access play Wingtips Lounge in Terminal 2, just past gate E22. Priority Pass gets in free, and anyone with a boarding pass can buy a 45 dollar day pass good for up to 4 hours. It is the only lounge at STL that sells entry regardless of airline.
The one thing to know Wingtips closes from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and shuts for the day at 4:00 pm on Saturday. Check the schedule against your departure time before you build a layover plan around it.

Terminal 1
Terminal 1 lounges, the Admirals Club and the USO
Terminal 1 serves American, Delta, United and nearly every other carrier at STL, yet it holds exactly one club lounge, and that one belongs to American. There is no Priority Pass lounge anywhere in the building, and the only paid entry route runs through American itself.
The American Airlines Admirals Club sits just past the security checkpoint at the entrance to Concourse C, where American concentrates its flights. The airport lists it open daily from 4:30 am to 7:00 pm, an early start that lines up with the first wave of American departures. Inside you get the standard Admirals Club formula: complimentary snacks, a full service bar, high speed wifi, and a mix of work tables and armchairs. It is a fine place to drink a coffee in quiet. It is not a destination.
Entry follows the rules American publishes for all of its clubs: paid Admirals Club membership, the Citi AAdvantage Executive card, or qualifying premium itineraries under American's current terms. American also sells a one day pass for 79 dollars or 7,900 AAdvantage miles, online or at select clubs, with entry subject to capacity, so whether the St. Louis club admits pass holders on your travel date is to be confirmed at the door. Delta and United passengers in the same terminal have no club of their own at STL, regardless of status.
Down on the lower level, across from baggage carousel 6, the USO serves active military members and their families with valid ID. The airport lists hours of 6:00 am to midnight on weekdays and 6:00 am to 10:00 pm on weekends, with rest and sleep areas, television, a computer center and free luggage storage inside. It sits landside, before security, which makes it most useful on arrival, between flights with a long gap, or before check in rather than at the gate.
| Lounge | Location | Hours | Access | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Admirals Club | Terminal 1, entrance to Concourse C, past security | Daily 4:30 am to 7:00 pm | Membership, Citi AAdvantage Executive card, qualifying premium itineraries, or a 79 dollar one day pass per American's terms | The only airline lounge at STL. Good for a quiet seat and a drink, nothing more. |
| USO | Terminal 1 lower level, across from baggage carousel 6, landside | Mon to Fri 6:00 am to midnight; Sat and Sun 6:00 am to 10:00 pm | Active military and families with valid military ID | Sleep areas, luggage storage and real hospitality. Military travelers should use it. |

Terminal 2
Terminal 2, Wingtips and the only door that sells entry
Terminal 2 belongs to Southwest, with every flight leaving from Concourse E, and it holds the single most useful lounge at the airport: Wingtips, an independent lounge run by Airport Terminal Services that takes Priority Pass and sells day passes to anyone with a boarding pass.
Finding it takes 3 to 5 minutes from the checkpoint. Turn left after security, walk down the E concourse, and turn left again just past gate E22; the entrance is on your left. Those are the operator's own directions, and the turn is easy to miss if you march straight for your gate, so watch for the signage on the left wall.
The schedule is the catch, and it deserves a careful read. Wingtips runs 7:00 am to 8:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. On Wednesday, Friday and Sunday it opens 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, closes for the afternoon, then reopens 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm. On Saturday it operates 9:00 am to 4:00 pm only. A Saturday evening Southwest departure gets no lounge at all, and a 2:00 pm Friday departure walks into a locked door. No lounge with hours this irregular should be trusted from memory; confirm the day of week before you pay or plan.
Inside, the offer is honest rather than fancy: complimentary food and drinks including alcohol, snacks built around local St. Louis suppliers, high speed wifi, and seating split into zones for working, eating and sinking into a chair. The operator also rents a small conference room for meetings between flights.
Access stacks several ways. Priority Pass, LoungeKey, Diners Club and Lounge Club members enter on their cards, with Priority Pass visits capped at 3 hours per the current listing. Anyone else buys a single visit day pass for 45 dollars, sold through the operator's online portal or at the desk, good for up to 4 hours. Frequent St. Louis flyers can buy an annual Wingtips membership at discounted entry rates instead. American Express Platinum and Centurion cardholders get in through the Priority Pass membership bundled with those cards, not through a separate Amex arrangement.
| Lounge | Location | Hours | Access | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wingtips Lounge | Terminal 2, E concourse, just past gate E22 | Mon, Tue, Thu 7:00 am to 8:00 pm; Wed, Fri, Sun 7:00 am to 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm; Sat 9:00 am to 4:00 pm | Priority Pass and LoungeKey, 45 dollar day pass, or Wingtips membership | The one lounge at STL anyone can enter. Plan around the midday closures. |

Where to sit instead at STL
With three restricted or part time lounges, plenty of travelers at STL will spend their whole layover outside one. The good news is that this is a small, calm airport, and a decent seat is never far.
In Terminal 1, the most pleasant spot is arguably free: the 1956 domed ticketing hall, landside, with its three sweeping concrete vaults. Airside, Concourse C carries most of the food and most of the traffic, while Concourse A stays quieter and works better for a nap; Ted Drewes Frozen Custard at gate A15, a genuine St. Louis institution, is on the airport's own dining list and beats most lounge desserts anywhere. If your layover runs overnight, our sleeping at STL guide maps the couches worth claiming.
In Terminal 2, the gate areas include couches without armrests and the terminal stays open around the clock, which makes it the better building for an overnight even without lounge access. Food choices are thinner than Terminal 1, so eat early if you land late. For the hour by hour version of a layover here, including when leaving the airport for downtown beats any seat inside it, see the STL layover guide.

Which doors open for you at STL
Work down this list and stop at the first line that matches you. That is your lounge.
Priority Pass. One lounge, Wingtips, Terminal 2 only, visits capped at 3 hours. If you fly from Terminal 1, your card opens nothing at this airport. Mind the midday closures on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and the 4:00 pm Saturday shutdown. Full detail sits on our Priority Pass at STL guide.
A premium travel card. Cards that bundle Priority Pass, including American Express Platinum and Chase Sapphire Reserve, open Wingtips through that membership. The Citi AAdvantage Executive card opens the Admirals Club in Terminal 1. There is no Centurion Lounge at STL, so an Amex by itself buys nothing beyond the bundled Priority Pass.
Cash. The 45 dollar Wingtips day pass covers up to 4 hours and works whatever airline you fly. American sells its own 79 dollar one day pass for the Admirals Club, subject to capacity and American's flight requirements. Our math on Wingtips: with 3 or more hours in Terminal 2, unlimited food, drinks and a real chair beat 45 dollars of food court spending. With under 2 hours, keep your money and buy a frozen custard instead.
Cabin or status. American premium passengers and eligible elites use the Admirals Club under American's published terms. Delta and United flyers get nothing here whatever their status; their nearest club is a connection away.
Military ID. The USO in the Terminal 1 baggage claim takes care of active military members and their families, free, with sleep areas and luggage storage. It is landside, so allow time to clear security afterward.
None of the above. Skip the lounge math entirely and pick a good seat using the section above. At an airport this size, the difference between a lounge chair and a quiet gate is smaller than at any major hub.
