Houston George Bush Lounges (IAH): Every Lounge and How to Get In

IAH runs about 14 lounges and lounge style spaces across five terminals, and United operates six of them. The international action stacks up in Terminal D, and one airside train ride puts every door within reach.

Lounge verdict
Good, with a heavy United accent. Every concourse United touches has a Club, Terminal D holds the international lounges and the Centurion, and the Skyway train means your gate never locks you out of the best room.
Best access play
Priority Pass opens the Air France Lounge and KLM Crown Lounge in Terminal D plus Minute Suites in Terminal C, and Amex Platinum unlocks the Centurion Lounge in D, the strongest room any card opens here.
The one thing to know
The airside Skyway train links all five terminals with no new security screening, so pick the lounge that matches your access, not the one nearest your gate.

How the IAH lounge map works

Houston George Bush is a United fortress. United flies from Terminals A, B, C and E and keeps a Club in each one it can, plus the Polaris Lounge in E for long haul business class. Terminal D is the international terminal, and that is where everyone else clusters: the Centurion Lounge, the Air France and KLM Crown lounges, and the contract Executive Club that serves the evening wide body wave. Terminal A hosts the only American Airlines Admirals Club. Delta flies from Terminal A and runs no Sky Club at IAH at all.

Hours below were checked on 16 April 2026. Most doors open with the first bank around 5:30 am and close between 8 pm and 9:30 pm, so late evening international passengers have thin pickings outside Terminal D. The only true 24 hour option is Minute Suites in Terminal C. Terminal B is mid rebuild: its United Club closed in January 2025 and the check in lobby works are scheduled to run through fall 2026, with a 50,000 square foot replacement Club promised as the largest in the United network.

Terminal A

Terminal A lounges

LoungeLocationHoursAccessVerdict
American Airlines Admirals ClubNear gates A25 and A2604:15 to 19:45Admirals Club members, AA and oneworld international premium and elites, day pass 79 dollarsThe only non United airline club at IAH; the 79 dollar day pass works on any same day AA or oneworld boarding pass
United ClubAcross from gate A907:30 to 19:00United Club members, Star Alliance international premium and Gold, one time pass 59 dollarsThe smallest hours of the five United doors; fine for a regional departure, not worth a special trip

Terminal A is mostly United Express regional flying plus the non United domestic carriers, and the lounge bench matches that. If you are connecting onward from an A gate with United access, the Skyway ride to the Terminal C Clubs takes minutes and buys you a far better room.

Terminal B

Terminal B lounges

LoungeLocationHoursAccessVerdict
United Club FlyBetween the food court and gates B12 to B2005:30 to 20:00United Club members and eligible premium passengers; one time passes not acceptedA grab and go counter rather than a lounge; take the coffee and snacks and keep walking
United ClubSouth mezzanineClosedClosed since January 2025 for the Terminal B rebuild; reopening date to be confirmedThe replacement is planned at 50,000 square feet, the largest United Club anywhere; until then, ride to Terminal C

Terminal B is a construction zone with gates attached. Check in and security on the B side are closed during the rebuild, so most passengers process through Terminal C and ride the Skyway across. Club Fly fills the gap with packaged food and drinks for members, and it does that one job fine. Anyone wanting a seat, a bar and a shower should not plan a Terminal B lounge stop before fall 2026 at the earliest.

Terminal C

Terminal C lounges

LoungeLocationHoursAccessVerdict
United Club NorthNear gate C105:30 to 21:00United Club members, Star Alliance international premium and Gold, one time pass 59 dollarsThe reliable default for anyone holding a United key; big enough to usually find a seat
United Club SouthNear gate C3305:30 to 21:00United Club members, Star Alliance international premium and Gold, one time pass 59 dollarsThe quieter twin at the other end of the concourse; walk here when North is slammed
Minute SuitesNear gate C1424 hoursPaid from 65 dollars per hour; Priority Pass first hour included, then 40 dollars per hourPrivate nap rooms, not a lounge; the only place at IAH that works at 2 am

Terminal C is the heart of United's domestic operation and the two Clubs bracket the concourse, so one of them is always close. Minute Suites is the sleeper pick in both senses: a Priority Pass membership gets the first hour free in a private room with a daybed, which on a rough overnight connection beats any buffet in the building. Book ahead through their site when you can, because a handful of suites does not survive an evening bank of delays.

USO LoungeNear gate D8, past security06:00 to 21:00Active duty, guard, reserve and retired military and dependentsA proper full service stop for eligible military travelers and their families

Terminal D is where IAH stops being a one airline town. Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, Emirates and the rest of the foreign carriers send their premium passengers to the Executive Club, while Air France and KLM run their own rooms a few gates apart. The Centurion Lounge above gate D12 outclasses all of them on food and drink, and because the Skyway is airside, cardholders flying United from C or E can ride over and still make boarding. Just respect the evening crush: when the European and Middle East departures stack up after 3 pm, every door in this terminal feels it.

Terminal E

Terminal E lounges

LoungeLocationHoursAccessVerdict
United Polaris LoungeNear gate E1205:30 to 20:15United Polaris business class, Star Alliance international first and business on long haul routesThe best lounge in Houston: a la carte dining, daybeds and shower suites; arrive hungry
United ClubBetween gates E11 and E1205:30 to 21:00United Club members, Star Alliance international premium and Gold, one time pass 59 dollarsThe flagship of the regular Clubs, with a children's area; busy when the evening international bank loads

Terminal E is United's long haul launchpad and the two lounges sit side by side at E12. If your ticket says Polaris, walk past the Club without breaking stride: the Polaris Lounge runs sit down dining and real showers, and it closes at 8:15 pm, so a late departure means eating first. Everyone else with Star Alliance Gold or a Club membership still gets a solid room next door.

What actually opens these doors

Priority Pass covers four doors at IAH: the Air France Lounge and KLM Crown Lounge in Terminal D, Minute Suites in Terminal C, and the Be Relax Spa in Terminal D, which trades your visit for one set treatment instead of a seat. The two Terminal D lounges cap visits at 3 hours and put their own premium passengers first, so expect turnaways at peak times. The full playbook lives in the IAH Priority Pass guide.

American Express runs the Centurion Lounge in Terminal D for Platinum, Business Platinum and Centurion cardholders flying any airline, with Delta Reserve cardholders admitted on Delta flights. Guest entry costs 50 dollars per adult unless your card's spend threshold unlocks complimentary guests, and the rules shift often enough that checking your card's current terms before flying is worth the two minutes.

Paying at the door works at three lounges and one suite. United Clubs sell one time passes for 59 dollars to passengers on United or Star Alliance itineraries, the Admirals Club in Terminal A sells day passes for 79 dollars to AA and oneworld passengers, and the KLM Crown Lounge sells walk up entry for roughly 50 to 75 euros on any airline, all subject to space. Minute Suites charges from 65 dollars per hour with no airline test at all.

Class of travel and status handles the rest. United and Star Alliance keys open Clubs in four terminals and the Polaris Lounge in E, SkyTeam premium cabins and elites get Air France and KLM in D, oneworld gets the Admirals Club in A, and business class on Air China, Emirates, EVA Air, Lufthansa or Qatar Airways gets the Executive Club in D.

Program rules shift and lounges move, especially with Terminal B mid rebuild. Treat the tables above as the map and confirm the door you are counting on the day you fly.

FAQ

IAH lounge questions

Which IAH lounges take Priority Pass?

Four doors: the Air France Lounge and KLM Crown Lounge in Terminal D, Minute Suites in Terminal C, and the Be Relax Spa in Terminal D, which gives one set treatment instead of lounge entry. The two Terminal D lounges cap visits at 3 hours and prioritize their own premium passengers at busy times.

Can I pay for a lounge at IAH without flying business class?

Yes, within limits. United Clubs sell one time passes for 59 dollars to passengers with a same day United or Star Alliance boarding pass, the Admirals Club sells day passes for 79 dollars to AA and oneworld passengers, and the KLM Crown Lounge sells walk up entry for roughly 50 to 75 euros on any airline, subject to space.

What is the best lounge at IAH?

The United Polaris Lounge in Terminal E, with a la carte dining and shower suites, if your ticket qualifies. Without a premium cabin, the Centurion Lounge in Terminal D is the clear winner for eligible American Express cardholders.

Is there a Delta Sky Club at IAH?

No. Delta flies from Terminal A and runs no Sky Club at IAH. Delta passengers holding an eligible American Express card can use the Centurion Lounge in Terminal D instead, which means a short airside Skyway train ride from Terminal A.

Does IAH have an Amex Centurion Lounge?

Yes, in Terminal D on the mezzanine level above gate D12, reached one level up through the duty free shop. It is open daily from 6:00 am to 9:30 pm for eligible American Express cardholders, and guest entry costs 50 dollars per adult.

Can I change terminals at IAH to use a lounge?

Yes. The Skyway train runs airside and links all five terminals without a new security screening, so you can ride from any concourse to the Centurion Lounge in D or a United Club in C. Passengers arriving from international flights who must clear customs are the exception.
