Honolulu Daniel K Inouye Lounges (HNL): Every Lounge and How to Get In
Honolulu lists 14 lounges across its three terminals, almost all of them in Terminal 2, and most belong to one airline or one resort. Two take Priority Pass and five sell some form of paid entry. Here is the full map.
- Lounge verdict
- Modest. The rooms at HNL are functional rather than fancy, the best food sits behind a strict ANA door list, and nothing airside stays open overnight. The open air Garden Court between the concourses outclasses half the lounges anyway.
- Best access play
- Priority Pass covers two doors: the Hawaiian Airlines Premier Club in Terminal 1, back in the program since 24 November 2025, and the IASS Hawaii Lounge in the Terminal 2 Garden Court area, open 07:30 to 18:00.
- The one thing to know
- Hours at HNL follow the flight banks, not the clock. IASS and LeaLea close at 18:00 before the evening Japan departures, the Qantas lounge only opens mornings, and the gate areas shut overnight from roughly 22:00.

How the Honolulu lounge map works

One long building, three terminals. Terminal 1 on the west end belongs to Hawaiian Airlines and Southwest, and holds the two Hawaiian lounges. Terminal 2 in the center handles every international flight and most mainland departures, and holds everything else: the Delta, United, ANA, American and Japan Airlines rooms near the gates, plus a cluster of smaller independent and airline lounges around the Garden Court in the middle of the terminal. Terminal 3 serves commuter flights and has no lounges at all. Terminals 1 and 2 connect airside, so with time in hand you can walk from a Hawaiian gate to a Garden Court door in about 15 minutes.
Hours below were checked on 27 May 2026. The pattern to internalize: HNL lounges open and close around their own airline's departure banks, which is why Qantas runs mornings only and Korean Air runs close to midnight. There is no 24 hour lounge because the airport itself closes airside overnight, roughly 22:00 to 05:00. And on a warm afternoon, which in Honolulu is most afternoons, the open air courtyards and cultural gardens between the concourses are a better place to wait than any of the budget rooms, free of charge and free of queues.
Terminal 1
Terminal 1 lounges
| Lounge | Location | Hours | Access | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hawaiian Airlines Premier Club | Level 2, near gate A18 | 05:00 to 22:00 weekdays, from 06:00 weekends | Priority Pass since 24 November 2025, Hawaiian first class to North America and interisland, Pualani Gold and Platinum, Premier Club members | Snacks and coffee rather than meals, but it is the Priority Pass door on the Hawaiian side and it opens with the first wave |
| Hawaiian Airlines Plumeria Lounge | Level 3, near the shuttle pickup point | 06:30 to 22:00 | Hawaiian international first and business, Pualani Platinum, day pass 40 dollars for Hawaiian passengers, Premier Club members; left Priority Pass on 1 April 2025 | The better food of the Hawaiian pair; the 40 dollar pass only works if you actually fly Hawaiian |
The Hawaiian pair tells the story of HNL lounge access in 2025 and 2026. Plumeria dropped Priority Pass on 1 April 2025 and went back to being a premium cabin room, then Hawaiian reversed course in November 2025 and put the simpler Premier Club into the program instead. Take the swap at face value: the Premier Club is a coffee and snacks room, not a meal stop, so eat before you settle in. Alaska, which now owns Hawaiian, has announced a much larger lounge for Terminal 1, with timing to be confirmed.
Terminal 2 airline lounges
Terminal 2: the airline rooms
| Lounge | Location | Hours | Access | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Delta Sky Club | Concourse F, across from gate F1 | 06:30 to 22:00 | Delta One, Sky Club members, eligible Delta Amex and Amex Platinum cards when flying Delta, SkyTeam Elite Plus on international itineraries | Small for the operation it serves; a 12,280 square foot replacement near gate F2 had its lease approved in March 2026, opening to be confirmed |
| United Club | Above gates G2 and G3 | 06:00 to 21:45 | Star Alliance first and business, Star Alliance Gold on international trips, United Club members, day pass 59 dollars | The workhorse of the G end; also hosts Air Canada, Air New Zealand and Asiana passengers |
| ANA Lounge and ANA Suite Lounge | Level 3, above gate C4 | 08:35 until the last ANA departure | ANA and Star Alliance first and business, Star Alliance Gold, Suite Lounge for first class and ANA Diamond | The best food at the airport, with a strict door list to match |
| Admirals Club and JAL Sakura Lounge | Level 3, above The Local @HNL | 10:00 to 22:00 | American premium cabins and elites on international flights, Admirals Club members, day pass 79 dollars, oneworld Emerald and Sapphire, JAL premium cabins and JMB elites | One shared space with two operators; the JAL catering half is the reason to come |
| JAL Sakura Lounge Hale | Level 3, above gate C1 | To be confirmed | JAL premium cabins and JAL elites; full access rules to be confirmed | JAL's second room near the C gates; check your boarding pass for which Sakura door you are assigned |
The airline rooms cluster near their own gates, which at HNL means real walking distances. The United Club at the G end and the ANA lounges above C4 are a solid 10 minutes apart, so pick the door that matches your departure gate rather than touring. The honest ranking: ANA first by a distance, the shared Admirals Club and Sakura space second when the JAL buffet is running, then Delta and United doing exactly what Delta and United always do. The Delta replacement project is the one to watch; the current club fills fast before the evening mainland bank.
Terminal 2 Garden Court
The Garden Court cluster and landside
| Lounge | Location | Hours | Access | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| IASS Hawaii Lounge | Garden Court area | 07:30 to 18:00 | Priority Pass, day pass from 25 dollars on any airline | Basic, think soft drinks and packaged snacks, and it closes before the evening Japan bank; still the most democratic door at HNL |
| LeaLea Lounge | Garden Court area | 09:00 to 18:00 | HIS package customers, paid pass 43 dollars plus tax for any airline, DragonPass | Built for Japanese package travelers; a workable plan B when IASS is full |
| Korean Air KAL Lounge | Garden Court area | 09:35 to 23:55 | Korean Air Prestige Class, SKYPASS Elite Plus and Morning Calm tiers | The latest closing room at HNL, timed to the Seoul departures |
| Qantas Business Lounge | Garden Court area | 06:00 to 11:00, closed Tuesday and Thursday | Qantas and oneworld first and business, Qantas Platinum and Gold, Qantas Club members | Morning only, matched to the Sydney departure; do not build an afternoon plan around it |
| Ko Olina Traveler's Lounge | Garden Court area | 11:00 to 21:00 | Guests of Ko Olina resorts including Aulani and Four Seasons Oahu, reservation required | A resort perk rather than a frequent flyer room; book ahead or walk past |
| Four Seasons Resort Lanai Guest Lounge | Near gate D1 | To be confirmed | Four Seasons Resort Lanai guests; details to be confirmed | The most niche door at the airport; if you qualify, you already know |
| USO Hawaii Lounge | Landside, level 1, between baggage claims E and F | 08:00 to 23:00 Monday, 08:00 to 20:00 Tuesday to Friday, from 08:30 weekends | Active duty military, eligible retirees and families with military ID | Showers, snacks and a play area; easily the best equipped free room in the building if you qualify |
The Garden Court is the strangest and most pleasant lounge district in American aviation: five small rooms arranged around landscaped courtyards in the middle of Terminal 2, with koi ponds outside the windows. None of the rooms are luxurious. The play here is timing. IASS at 07:30 to 18:00 works for daytime mainland departures and fails completely for the 20:00 to 23:00 Japan bank, when Korean Air's room is the only one still pouring. If your evening flight leaves you loungeless, the courtyards themselves stay open and the trade winds are free.

What actually opens these doors
Priority Pass opens two doors at HNL: the Hawaiian Airlines Premier Club in Terminal 1, which rejoined the program on 24 November 2025, and the IASS Hawaii Lounge in the Terminal 2 Garden Court area. Both are modest rooms, and the IASS 18:00 close is the trap to remember for evening international departures. The full strategy lives in the HNL Priority Pass guide.
DragonPass covers the LeaLea Lounge in the Garden Court, bookable through the DragonPass app. That is the whole DragonPass map at HNL as of June 2026.
Paying at the door works at five lounges. The IASS Hawaii Lounge starts at 25 dollars on any airline, LeaLea charges 43 dollars plus tax on any airline, the United Club sells a 59 dollar day pass to Star Alliance passengers, the Admirals Club charges 79 dollars on American and oneworld flights, and the Plumeria Lounge sells a 40 dollar pass to Hawaiian Airlines passengers only, purchasable during check in.
American Express has no Centurion lounge at HNL. The card play here is Delta: Amex Platinum holders get capped Sky Club visits when flying Delta, and the Delta Reserve cards carry their own visit allowances. Cards that bundle Priority Pass also open the Premier Club and IASS doors under that program's rules.
Class of travel and status covers the rest: Star Alliance keys work at the United Club and the ANA lounges, oneworld Emerald and Sapphire open the shared Admirals Club and Sakura space, SkyTeam Elite Plus opens the Delta Sky Club on international itineraries, and the Korean Air and Qantas rooms serve their own alliances during their short windows. Hawaiian elites get the Terminal 1 pair.
Rules moved twice at this airport in a single year, so treat the tables above as the map and confirm the door you are counting on the day you fly.

FAQ
Honolulu lounge questions
Which lounges at HNL take Priority Pass?
Two as of June 2026: the Hawaiian Airlines Premier Club in Terminal 1 near gate A18, which rejoined the program on 24 November 2025, and the IASS Hawaii Lounge in the Terminal 2 Garden Court area, open 07:30 to 18:00. The Plumeria Lounge left Priority Pass on 1 April 2025.
Can I pay for an HNL lounge without flying business class?
Yes. The IASS Hawaii Lounge sells day passes from 25 dollars on any airline and the LeaLea Lounge charges 43 dollars plus tax. The United Club day pass costs 59 dollars on Star Alliance flights, the Admirals Club charges 79 dollars on American or oneworld flights, and the Plumeria Lounge sells 40 dollar passes to Hawaiian Airlines passengers only.
What is the best lounge at Honolulu airport?
With a Star Alliance premium ticket or Gold status, the ANA Lounge and ANA Suite Lounge above gate C4, which serve the best food at HNL. Without status, the Plumeria Lounge is the strongest paid room if you fly Hawaiian, and the open air Garden Court outside the lounges beats most of them on a warm afternoon.
Is there a Delta Sky Club at HNL?
Yes, in Terminal 2 across from gate F1, open 06:30 to 22:00. Delta also had a lease approved in March 2026 for a much larger 12,280 square foot replacement club near gate F2; the opening date is to be confirmed.
Do Honolulu airport lounges have showers?
Showers are scarce. The USO Hawaii Lounge on the landside level between baggage claims E and F lists showers for eligible military travelers. The airline lounges at HNL do not advertise shower facilities, so if one matters to you, confirm directly with your lounge before you fly.
What time do HNL lounges close at night?
Most close by 22:00, in line with the overnight closure of the gate areas. The Korean Air KAL Lounge runs latest at 23:55, while the IASS Hawaii Lounge and LeaLea Lounge close at 18:00, before the evening Japan departure bank. Nothing airside stays open overnight.
