Sao Paulo Guarulhos Lounges (GRU): Every Lounge and How to Get In

Guarulhos lists around 23 lounge spaces across three terminals, and most of them run 24 hours. The catch is ownership: roughly half belong to Brazilian banks and fintechs, so the right key matters more here than anywhere else in South America.

Lounge verdict
Strong but tribal. The LATAM VIP Lounge in Terminal 3 is world class and a remarkable number of doors never close, but a long row of bank lounges will turn you away without the matching Brazilian card.
Best access play
Priority Pass opens seven spaces here, one in every terminal plus two landside and international options: the W lounges in Terminals 1, 2 and 3, The Lounge Sao Paulo, The Lounge SkyTeam, Advantage VIP and Urban Cowork. Most of them run around the clock.
The one thing to know
The Amex Centurion Lounge closed permanently on 28 February 2025. Platinum and Centurion cardholders now use the W Premium 5th Avenue lounge in Terminal 3, a 24 hour space built for exactly that traffic.

How the Guarulhos lounge map works

The terminal and the side of immigration decide your options. Terminal 2 handles most domestic flying plus an international wing where the SkyTeam carriers operate, and it holds the deepest bench of independent lounges. Terminal 3 is the long haul international building, and its mezzanine is bank lounge row: Casa BB, Bradesco, Mastercard Black, Visa Infinite, Nomad and Nubank all keep a door there alongside LATAM's flagship. Terminal 1, the small regional outpost reached only by shuttle bus, has exactly one lounge, the 24 hour W Lounge on the mezzanine, which conveniently takes Priority Pass and DragonPass and sells entry at 200 reais.

Hours below were checked on 23 May 2026 against the airport's official lounge list. Two structural notes before the tables. First, operators have churned: W Premium Group now runs the former Plaza Premium sites in Terminals 1 and 3 and one in Terminal 2, while Plaza Premium itself still operates two Terminal 2 spaces and manages the Visa Infinite lounges. Second, the old Safra bank lounge no longer appears on the airport's official list, and its status is to be confirmed; do not plan around it. Because so many doors run 24 hours, GRU is one of the few major hubs where a 2 am connection still comes with a shower and a hot meal.

Urban Cowork AirportLandside, check in area E, second floor24 hoursPriority Pass, LoungeKey, paid from 165 reais for 3 hoursShowers, lockers and family rooms before security; the honest overnight option landside

Domestic T2 is the easiest win at Guarulhos. Three Priority Pass doors sit within minutes of each other and all three run 24 hours, so the program rarely fails you here the way it can at capacity capped airports. My order of preference: W Premium The West for the food and the apron view, The Lounge Sao Paulo when you want to camp without a stay limit, Advantage when the first two queue. The two landside spaces matter more than they look, because GRU has no dedicated arrivals lounge and Urban Cowork's 24 hour showers and lockers quietly fill that role.

Terminal 2 international

LoungeLocationHoursAccessVerdict
The Lounge SkyTeamInternational mezzanine, after passport control24 hoursSkyTeam premium cabins and Elite Plus, Priority Pass, LoungeKey, paid 200 reaisFree showers, a la carte dining and no stay limit; the best room in the T2 international wing

The international side of T2 is thin but well chosen. The Lounge SkyTeam doubles as both the alliance lounge and a Priority Pass door, which is unusual and generous: a Delta or Air France passenger and a credit card traveler eat from the same a la carte kitchen. If you are connecting from a GOL international red eye, the GOL lounge's 05:00 to 01:00 span covers almost every departure the wing sees.

Terminal 3 is where Guarulhos shows off. The LATAM VIP Lounge is the obvious crown, 24 hours with a sleeping room and a 30 metre buffet, and DragonPass holders get in free while Priority Pass holders do not, a distinction that decides which membership earns its fee at this airport. Without any program, the order is simple: Nubank's 32 dollar walk in if the hours fit, then the W Premium at 320 reais. The quiet tip is Casa BB, which admits first and business class passengers on a dozen partner airlines regardless of bank relationship; if you are flying up front on TAP, Turkish or Emirates, check it before queueing anywhere else.

What actually opens these doors

Priority Pass covers seven spaces: the W Lounge in Terminal 1, W Premium The West, The Lounge Sao Paulo and Advantage VIP in Terminal 2 domestic, The Lounge SkyTeam in Terminal 2 international, W Premium in Terminal 3, and Urban Cowork landside. Note what is missing: Plaza Premium's two Terminal 2 rooms and the LATAM VIP Lounge are not on the list. Some doors restrict program entry at peak times, roughly 05:00 to 09:00 and 21:00 to 23:00, so build in a fallback.

DragonPass is arguably the stronger membership at GRU. It opens the same W lounges plus both Plaza Premium rooms in Terminal 2 and, the headline, the LATAM VIP Lounge in Terminal 3.

American Express closed its Centurion Lounge here on 28 February 2025. The replacement is the W Premium 5th Avenue lounge in Terminal 3, exclusive to Amex members: Platinum brings 1 free guest, Centurion brings 2, and extra guests pay 50 dollars. Amex cards issued outside Brazil also open the Plaza Premium lounges in Terminal 2.

Paying at the door works at most of the independents. The ladder runs from 165 reais at Urban Cowork and 180 reais at Advantage, through 200 reais at The Lounge Sao Paulo, The Lounge SkyTeam and the Terminal 1 W Lounge, to 220 reais at W Premium Terminal 2, 240 reais for 3 hours at Plaza Premium, and 320 reais for 3 hours at W Premium Terminal 3. Nubank Ultravioleta sells entry at 32 dollars and third party platforms sell LATAM VIP passes from about 62 dollars.

Brazilian bank and fintech cards unlock the rest: Casa BB for Banco do Brasil, the Bradesco rooms for Visa Aeternum and Elo top tiers, three Mastercard Black spaces, two Visa Infinite lounges, Inter, Nomad and Nubank. If you hold a top tier Brazilian card, Guarulhos may be the best lounge airport in the world for you. If you do not, treat that entire row as scenery.

Operators churn quickly in Brazil, and two names on this page changed hands within the last two years. Treat the tables as the map and confirm the door you are counting on the day you fly. For the program strategy in detail, see the GRU Priority Pass guide.
