Bristol Airport Lounges BRS: every lounge and how to get in
Bristol has two lounges, both airside on the mezzanine and both daytime only. One is the flagship pay in room, the other is the card lounge. Here is the difference and how to get in.

How the Bristol lounge map works
Bristol's lounges are easy to map because there are two and they sit side by side. Past security, up to the mezzanine by the stairs or lift near JD Sports, you find the Escape Lounge and Essence by Escape Lounges. Bristol ran the Aspire Lounge for years; after a refit it reopened in 2025 as the Escape Lounge, with Essence opening alongside as a second room. There is no landside lounge and no alliance flagship.
The split between them is about how you get in. The Escape Lounge is the flagship pay in room, open to any airline and any ticket class on a prebooked entry from GBP 34.99. Essence is the card lounge, taking Priority Pass and the other major programs as well as a paid walk in. Both open from 03:30 to catch the early flights, and both close by the evening, so the figures below are best treated as verify at booking because lounge hours shift with the schedule.

Two things from the table. The Escape Lounge is the only one you can buy into directly without a lounge program, on a prebooked entry that works for any ticket, while Essence is where every card lands. And both rooms share the same hours problem: they open early and close early, so the lounge is a daytime amenity at Bristol rather than a backstop for a late flight.

Hours and rules. The Escape Lounge opens 03:30 to 19:30 daily, caps stays at 3 hours and admits infants under 36 months free. Essence opens from 03:30 until the late afternoon, with the closing time varying by day, entry up to 3 hours before departure, and a smart casual dress code.
Read those hours together and the lesson is the timing trap: after 19:30 there is no lounge open anywhere at Bristol. An evening departure gets the departure lounge seating, not a lounge, so a card or a prebooked entry only helps if your flight leaves during the day.
What each room is like. The Escape Lounge is the larger of the two, with dedicated zones for dining, working and relaxing, windows onto the apron, a bar and freshly prepared hot and cold food. Essence is the smaller card room on the same mezzanine, set between Frankie and Benny's and Brigg and Stow. The terminal extension under construction will nearly double the number of food and retail units airside when it opens, but the lounge count stays at two, so the choice between the Escape and Essence comes down to how you pay rather than how many rooms there are.
