Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji lounges BOM: every lounge and how to get in

Mumbai runs its entire lounge estate around the clock, which matters at an airport whose long haul bank leaves after midnight. Here is every lounge in both terminals, with hours, locations, and the realistic ways in.

Lounge verdict Mixed. Ten lounges across two terminals and every one of them listed as open 24 hours, but a single operator controls most doors and the access contracts are still settling after the rebrand from GVK to Adani.

Best access play An India issued card carrying DragonPass. The DragonPass and Adani partnership signed in late 2025 opened the Adani rooms to the program, which makes it the most dependable card key at BOM right now.

The one thing to know Priority Pass acceptance at the Adani lounges has been inconsistent since the operator change. The app listing and the front desk do not always agree, so verify in the app the week you fly and carry a backup plan.

Terminal 1 at Santacruz handles domestic flights on IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Akasa. The lounge bench is short, but all three rooms run 24 hours, which suits the brutal 5am domestic wave better than most airports manage.

There is no airline lounge in T1, so everything here is card or paid entry. The main room is the Adani Lounge above the food court between the gates, reached by the lift or stairs near the security area. The official listing caps stays at 3 hours and accepts cards registered under the Dreamfolks, Priority Pass, DragonPass, and Amex India programs, plus paid walk in entry. The Travel Club Lounge and Good Times Bar round out the terminal as straightforward paid rooms, both with hot buffets and Jain menu options.

Terminal 2

Terminal 2 lounges, international plus domestic

Terminal 2 at Sahar takes every international flight plus Air India group domestic, and it holds the bulk of the lounge estate: the flagship Adani Lounge East for international departures on level 4, two invitation only Adani first class and premium business rooms in the west wing, a loyalty lounge and an Amex lounge on the domestic side of level 3, and two Aviserv arrivals lounges on level 2.

Some history explains the confusion here. The celebrated GVK Lounge was the flagship of this terminal until the Adani Group took over the airport in 2021, after which the rooms reopened under Adani Lounge branding with new access contracts. The spaces are largely the same; the rules at the door are not, which is why older guides and card brochures keep sending people to desks that turn them away. Air India directs its premium cabins and Star Alliance Gold members to the Maharajah Lounge in international departures, though details of that room have been hard to pin down since the rearrangement and are worth confirming with the airline.

The arrivals side deserves a mention most directories skip. Aviserv runs two lounges on level 2 by the arrival gates, both open 24 hours, and the west room has sleeping pods. After a 3am long haul landing with an onward domestic leg later that morning, that is a genuinely useful door.

Which doors open for you at BOM

Work down this list and stop at the first line that matches you. That is your lounge.

An India issued bank card with a lounge program. This is how most lounge entry works in India, and Mumbai is no exception. The Adani Lounge T1B officially accepts cards registered under the Dreamfolks, Priority Pass, DragonPass, and Amex India programs, and the DragonPass and Adani partnership signed in late 2025 opened the T2 Adani rooms to DragonPass cardholders. If your Indian credit card bundles one of these programs, check which one and how many visits it carries before you assume the Mumbai door opens.

Priority Pass. Treat it as a maybe at BOM. The app lists Adani Lounge East in T2 international departures and the Adani Lounge in T1B, yet field reports through 2026 describe the Adani desks declining the card while some third party lounges accept it. Verify in the app the week you fly, screenshot the listing, and carry a fallback. The full picture, including which cards bundle the membership, sits on our Priority Pass at Mumbai (BOM) guide.

An eligible American Express. The Amex Lounge on level 3 of the T2 domestic side, near Gate 65 opposite Burger King, runs 24 hours with a complimentary bar, a la carte dining, and even a shoe polish machine. Eligibility follows the Amex India lounge terms, so confirm that your specific card qualifies before you fly.

Cabin or status. Airlines departing T2 send first and premium business passengers to the invitation only Adani rooms in the west wing, and Air India directs its premium cabins and Star Alliance Gold members to the Maharajah Lounge. On the domestic side of T2, the Adani Business Class lounge on level 3 takes full service premium tickets. None of these doors open for any card or pass.

Cash. Walk in entry to the Adani lounges is sold through the Adani One app subject to occupancy, and booking platforms sell 2 hour entry to Adani Lounge East for roughly 4,300 rupees. In T1, the Travel Club Lounge and Good Times Bar both sell entry around the clock. On arrival, the Aviserv lounges sell pods at about 750 rupees an hour. None of it is cheap by Indian lounge standards, but every paid option runs 24 hours, which is more than most hub airports can say.

FAQ

Mumbai lounge questions

Does Priority Pass work at Mumbai Airport?

Unevenly. Priority Pass lists Adani Lounge East in T2 international departures and the Adani Lounge in T1B, but field reports through 2026 show the Adani branded lounges declining the card at the desk while some third party lounges accept it. Check the app for current BOM listings before relying on entry.

Which Mumbai lounges are open 24 hours?

Nearly all of them. The official CSMIA listings show the Adani Lounge T1B, Travel Club Lounge, and Good Times Bar in Terminal 1, the Adani and Amex rooms in Terminal 2, and both Aviserv arrivals lounges as open 24 hours. The constraint at BOM is access, not opening hours.

Can I pay to enter a lounge at Mumbai without status?

Yes. Walk in entry is sold through the Adani One app subject to occupancy, and booking platforms sell 2 hour entry to Adani Lounge East in T2 international for roughly 4,300 rupees. In T1 the Travel Club Lounge and Good Times Bar are paid lounges, and the Aviserv arrivals lounges sell pods at about 750 rupees an hour.

Is there a lounge in Mumbai T2 arrivals?

Yes, two. Aviserv Lounge West sits near arrival gate A and Aviserv Lounge East near arrival gate C, both on level 2 and both open 24 hours. West has the sleeping pods, which makes it the better landing spot after an overnight long haul arrival.

Does Air India have a lounge at Mumbai T2?

Air India premium passengers and Star Alliance Gold members are directed to the Maharajah Lounge in T2 international departures. The T2 lounge estate has been rearranged since Adani took over, so confirm the current room and its location with Air India before you fly.

What happened to the GVK Lounge at Mumbai?

It was rebranded. After the Adani Group took over the airport from GVK in 2021, the flagship T2 lounges reopened under Adani Lounge branding. The rooms are broadly the same spaces, but the access contracts changed, which is why older guides and card brochures no longer match the door policy.
